Remarks Epibenthic-pelagic. Feeds on crustaceans and fishes (Ref. 58426). Also feeds on planktonic organisms (Ref. 12223). Preyed upon by Atlantic halibut, Atlantic cod, swordfish and harbor seals. Parasites of the species include 6 trematodes, 1 cestode, 6 nematodes and 3 copepods (Ref. 5951).
