Max. size:  50 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 320 - 600 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: East Timor, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia,
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 34-37; Dorsal soft rays (total): 78-85; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 70-76; Vertebrae: 119-124. Body silvery, jaws and opercle blackish. The inside of the mouth and gill cavities black.
