Max. size:  6.75 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 14 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: endemic to northern Australia, from Western Australia to Queensland and McCluer Island, Northern Territory.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in inshore waters. Benthic species (Ref. 75154). Specimens have been taken from a coral knoll and from reefs. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The males carry the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205). Males may be mature at about 5-5.5 cm SL.
