Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Uolters Seamount. High Seas only.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9. Opercular spine present. Greatest body depth 24 percent SL. Ventro-anal distance 29 percent SL. Sides and abdomen silver (Ref. 31632).
Biology:  A mesobenthic-pelagic species living mainly above the bottom (Ref. 31632).
