Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Noa Dehing River, Brahmaputra River basin in Arunachal Pradesh, India.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-6; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 10-10; Vertebrae: 37-37. Can be diagnosed from all other species of Glyptothorax by the following combination of characters: mottled skin, more prominent over the dorsal and caudal region extending to the tip of the caudal fin; a well-developed obtuse leaf-shaped thoracic adhesive apparatus with no central depression; one bean-shaped cream-colored spot on either side of the dorsal-fin origin; ventral surface of the first unbranched rays of the paired fins plaited marginally and distally (Ref. 93019). Description: Anal-fin rays I,9,i; Pectoral-fin rays I,10,I or I,9,I (Ref. 93019).
