Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 134 - 340 m
Distribution:  West Pacific: Coral Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 6-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal soft rays: 6-6. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: D VI,8; pectoral-fin rays 24-25, pelvic-fin rays 7. Colouration: body pale khaki, and light floor of mouth having anastomosing dark pattern medially (Ref. 131498).
