Max. size:  6.5 cm SL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 2 years
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: Marathon plain and Sperchios and Kifissos drainages in Greece.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits springs, swamps, and canals. Occurs usually among vegetation or under shore cover. Feeds on a wide variety of aquatic invertebrates, algae and detritus. Reaches up to about 6.5 cm SL (Ref. 59043).
