Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Russian Federation and northern Japan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 13-14; Vertebrae: 31-33. Head and body above lateral line almost completely covered with small serrated scales; teeth absent on prevomer; length of anal fin base 28%-32% SL; length of caudal peduncle 15%-17% SL (Ref. 45347).
Biology:  Found over sandy bottoms (Ref. 45347). Maximum depth reported at 24 m (Ref. 45347).
