Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 80-96; Anal spines: 2-3; Anal soft rays: 40-51; Vertebrae: 87-101. One pore on interorbital region; pelvic fin present; a narrow silvery longitudinal band runs from eye to base of pectoral fin; body color greatly variable, with brown, green, light-purple etc (Ref. 559). |
