Geography and Climate Isle of Man is located in Western Europe, island in the Irish Sea, between Great Britain and Ireland. Area - comparative: slightly more than three times the size of Washington, DC. Isle of Man has cool summers and mild winters climate; humid; overcast about half the time. Terrain consists of hills in north and south bisected by central valley. Elevation extreme has the lowest point in Irish Sea 0 m and highest point in Snaefell 620 m. Natural resources are lead, iron ore. Geography—note: one small islet, the Calf of Man, lies to the southwest, and is a bird sanctuary.
