buttress and valley
(English) Reef slope feature (non-terrace) consisting of the large scale nearly vertical analogue of the spur and groove on deep and/or steep reef slopes; often found on Leeward reef slope. (See also: lee, reef, groove)
contrefort et vallée
(French) Le trait de la pente récifale (non-terrasse) qui comprend de la grande échelle presque analogue vertical de l'entretoise et rainure sur des pentes récifale escarpées ou/et profondes; situé souvent sur la pente récifale sous le vent. (See also: lee, reef, groove)
