Diagnosis |
Differs from its congeners in Indochina by the combination of the following characters: caudal fin with 8+8 branched rays; pelvic fin with 7 rays; lateral line incomplete and not reaching beyond anal-fin origin; color patterns with 7-10 dark bars on body wider than interspaces and regularly shaped and set, forming saddles in larger specimens; bars usually meeting their homologues on back; black bar at caudal base complete, not reaching dorsal or ventral midlines; caudal fin slightly emarginate (Ref. 40772). Description: Dorsal fin with 4 simple and 8 1/2 branched rays; anal fin with 3 simple and 5 1/2 branched rays (Ref. 40772). |
