One pore on interorbital region; pelvic fin present; a narrow silvery longitudinal band runs from eye to base of pectoral fin; body color greatly variable, with brown, green, light-purple etc (Ref. 559).
Lives in seaweed areas of the intertidal zone (Ref. 559).
