Short description Identification keys | Morphology | Morphometrics

A species of the genus Bathycongrus with a filiform caudal body end, 5–6 supraorbital, 7–8 infraorbital, 11 preoperculo-mandibular and one supratemporal pores of the head. The dorsal fin originates behind the vertical of the middle of the pectoral fin. Vert. 158–160, and 41–42 precaudal vertebrae. There are 53–57 dorsal fin rays before the vertical of the anal fin origin. Lateral line pores in front of anal opening 31–33. The body is elongated, cylindrical, and compressed from the sides in the caudal part. (Ref. 80682).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00063 (0.00029 - 0.00138), b=3.18 (3.00 - 3.36), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.8   ±0.5 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (25 of 100).
