Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6 - 7; Anal soft rays: 5 - 7; Vertebrae: 35. Belongs to the Oreoglanis siamensis species group as it possesses a distinct
median notch on the posterior margin of the lower lip. Can be distinguished from other members of the genus in having a combination of the following characters: short nasal barbel reaching to midway between its base and anterior orbital margin, maxillary barbel with rounded tip, lobulate projections on posterior margin of lower lip, snout length 56.4-63.0 % HL, interorbital distance 23.9-28.1 % HL, eye diameter 9.6-12.9 % HL, dorsal to adipose distance 14.4-16.0 % SL, adipose fin separate from upper procurrent caudal-fin rays, caudal peduncle length 21.7-27.1 % SL, caudal peduncle depth 3.5-4.1 % SL, caudal peduncle depth 5.55-7.53 times in its length, and emarginate caudal fin (Ref. 83406).
Occurs in rocky, fast-flowing streams (Ref. 83406).
