Identification keys | Morphology | Morphometrics
Vertebrae: 160. This elongate species is distinguished by the following characters: tail 1.8-2.0, head 16-17, and body depth 71 in total length; preopercular pores 3 and pores in supratemporal canal 5; teeth are conical, uniserial on jaws and vomer, with 2-3 vomerine teeth; colouration, when preserved body is mostly pale with a fine brown sparse speckling on body and tail; MVF 70-160, total vertebrae 160 (Ref. 101270).
Specimens caught using a benthic dredge. One paratype with the tail missing is assumed to be approximately 33 cm TL by extrapolation (Ref. 101270).
