الأشعة الظهرية الناعمة (المجموع) : 4; أشعه شرجية لينه: 54 - 61; فقرات: 50 - 52. Prominent mandibular muscles causing the cheeks to appear inflated; 4 mandibular barbels and vomerine teeth present in 2 separate patches.

Occurs in hillstreams and caves (Ref. 58784). Feeds on fishes and insects (Ref. 58784).
