خارهاي باله پشتي (کل) : 0; شعاع نرم باله پشتي (کل) : 0; خارهاي باله مخرجي: 60 - 75. Diagnosis: adipose fin always present; inner side of pectoral spine without serrations, being entirely smooth (Ref. 43912).

Probably a schooling species confined to rather large river systems; feeds on small crustaceans (Ref. 43912). Oviparous, eggs are unguarded (Ref. 205).
